Notes:
- The team again sold jerseys at the Convention and sold via various gameworn groups and email lists. The 2013 Stanley Cup Finals jerseys actually worn in the series were not sold by the team. A few backup jerseys were sold.
- The regular season jerseys typically have 12-13 and a 1 or 2 written in the neck to denote the set. Some jerseys may not have the writing in the neck, particularly if they were not on the roster to begin the set. They also have serial numbered set tags with the Indian Head.
- The Hawks wore a new set of jerseys denoted ‘P-13’ in the neck.
- In this lockout-shortened season, the Hawks got off to an incredible 21-0-3 start. During that stretch, the Hawks wore their set 1 jerseys. It was planned for the team to wear just one set due to the shortened 48 game schedule, but when the team got off to such a historic start, they decided to switch jersey sets after the first regulation loss, which occurred March 8 in Colorado. So the set one red home jerseys were retired never seeing a regulation loss. The set 1 jerseys are more sought-after and known as the ‘undefeated set’.
- The Hawks won the Stanley Cup on the road in Boston (the famous 17 Seconds) in the white jerseys. As in 2010, the team gave the players the cup winning jerseys and again, the reds were worn in the parade. Again, a very limited number of jerseys were retained by the team. At the Hawks Convention in 2013, a few backup SCF-patched jerseys were auctioned off.
- Hawks goalies had 3 jerseys issued to them and they change between periods. They wear the same 3 all season. A few other players also wore multiple jerseys – including Jonathan Toews.
- A Shirt Off Their Back Night (SOTB) or Fan Appreciation Night jersey being given out to ‘random’ attendees of the last home game of the season. This practice continued until the early 2010’s. In some years, the jersey contained special tagging, the 03-04 & 08-09 jerseys are confirmed to have a Fan Appreciation set tag similar to the patch sewn in the other jerseys in this era. In all letters that have surfaced that came with these jerseys, they are worded “Congratulations on winning…” rather than “Congratulations on purchasing…”. The Hawks typically wore a new set of jerseys for the SOTB promotions, although there may have been a season or two where they were worn longer. The jerseys given away had a ‘FA 13’ designation in the neck. It is believed this was the last time the Hawks did this promotion.
