Notes
- The 1960-61 jerseys featured a few firsts for Hawks jerseys. No longer were the jerseys wool, they were now a polyester material known as Dureen.
- The crests and tommies were now chain stitched. While some jerseys in the barberpole era of the early 1950's featured chain stitching, the stitching of the crest and tommies are similar to what is seen on today's jerseys.
- The crest is similar to the larger 59-60 crest, but now has a border.
- Green-handled tommies are introduced onto the red jerseys and green colored stones are introduced on the white jerseys.
- The stones in the tommies look almost hatchet-like. These stay this shape until 64-65.
- The road jerseys feature distinctive 2-color numbers, used only for the 60-61 season. They are white twill on top of a slightly larger red twill. The numbers also cover the top white and black stripes and go into the middle white stripe in the sleeve.
- The white jerseys also now feature space between the black and red stripes in the sleeve and the black forearm. It formerly appeared that the black forearm was a continuation of the stripe pattern, now it appears more like there are stripes distinctly separate from the black forearm. These are referred to as the 2 stripe white jerseys.
- The sleeve numbers on the white jerseys overlapped the shoulder yoke stitching.
- The only tagging known to be in the jerseys is a General Athletic Sporting Goods tag including the size in the neck. If other tagging is found, please pass along a photo.
- These jerseys were likely recycled for practice and training camps.
