Notes
- The 59-60 season featured the numbers on the sleeves and the tommies on the shoulders for the first time, consistent with the jerseys currently worn.
- This was the last season of wool jerseys that the Hawks wore, at least in red. The known red jerseys are wool. The one known white jersey is dureen, it is unclear if the team wore both wool & dureen versions of each color during the season.
- Three crests appeared to be worn this season, with two larger crests different from previous versions and more similar to those worn from 60-64. A third smaller crest, which is similar to the 57-59 red Lindsay pictured on this site, is also found on the #6 jersey pictured here. The new crests were much larger than previous seasons. The version on the red wool did not have a boarder, continued featuring the necklace, and were made of twill. The version on the white example has a boarder, no longer features the necklace, and is chain stitched. The similar crests used from 60-64 on both home and road jerseys contained a boarder and were chain stitched.
- A photo has been found with Mikita posing along with Hull and Nesterenko. They are all wearing 59-60 jerseys with the smaller crest. The photo was likely taken at a practice, likely prior to Hull switching to #7. Of note, this photo proves that Mikita had both the larger crest (jersey shown on this page) and a smaller crest 59-60 jersey. More research is needed to help determine if/when the team may have switched wearing them... or as one photo below suggests, they may have worn both at the same time.
- Both the home and road tommies featured red handles and white stones and a yellow C.
- The white jerseys features white stones for the last time. In 60-61 and beyond, the stones are green.
- The tommies on the wool red jersey are completely made of twill. The white jersey features chain stitched tommies.
- The white jerseys continued with black forearms.
- One surviving red Mikita jersey was auctioned by Heritage, a red Litzenberger was auctioned by Classic, and the #6 originated from Reg Flemming's family. Reg wore the jersey in 60-61 at least as a practice jersey. They may have worn them for a couple games previous to the new dureen jerseys arrived. The only known white is the #18 pictured.
- The only tagging known to be in the red jerseys is a Wilson Sporting Goods tag including the size. Two versions of the tagging have been found, one with black text and another with red. The tagging in the white jerseys are unknown. If other tagging is found, please pass along a photo.
- These jerseys were likely recycled for practice and training camps.

White jersey crest with the tan border showing outside the black outline, Litzenberger crest on the left and #6 Crest detail, which looks to be the same smaller crest as the Lindsey featured in the 57-59 section.
Detail of the twill tommies and numbering as well as the tie down from the #6 jersey
The debut of the shoulder tommies on the red jerseys on 10-14-59 and the white jerseys 10-15-59.
Glenn Hall in 59-60. Note the borderless crest and the red handled tommies.
Hall & Hull in 59-60. Note the white stones on the tommies.
Photo from a game on 1-3-60 showing #19 St Laurent potentially wearing a smaller chest like the #6 featured on this page. The other crests look larger. Looking for better photos from this season.
59-60 jerseys worn likely in practice or training camp all with the smaller crest. Of note, Mikita is featured here with the smaller crest, while game photos and the jersey on this page show the larger crest, so at least he had one of each issued.
